TASL (Transformation And Success in Learning) engages and empowers families, communities, and educators worldwide with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate education systems, strengthen leadership, and create equitable opportunities for students across cultures and communities.
Our Vision
We envision a world where all families understand how education systems work, participate as equal partners in learning, and have access to opportunities regardless of language, culture, or background.
Our Story
Our founders met doing what they do best: promoting community and family engagement at the Austin Independent School District. Their time with the district helped them identify a major barrier to student success - a growing gap between schools and the families and caregivers of their students.
They saw how families — especially immigrant, multilingual, and first-generation — were struggling to navigate new education systems, which are often complex and opaque. And they experienced firsthand how these systems often don’t have the resources to provide the families what they need to take an active role in students’ learning.
They realized their background as immigrants themselves, and their experience implementing family engagement programs, made them the ideal candidates to help create lasting change in their communities and beyond. They knew that when parents understand educational systems and feel empowered, students succeed.
TASL was born.
